Realizing that his magical firearm drew power from its user's life force, Catilou took the gun herself and gave her own energy to the weapon to protect the gunslinger. The gunslinger stood up again after this selfless act and the two defeated the dragon together. For this, Catilou is known as the dragon-slaying Maverick.
