Flame General's Jewel

Flame God, Ifrit left behind. An enormous amount of heat is contained within the jewel. It is possible to gently warm thousands of people if you can draw on its power effectively, but also possible to raze a country to the ground if you lose control, although it is said that the bearer would be incinerated before that happened. What reason could the Flame God possibly have had for appearing in the world and leaving this jewel here?
